Cara sat in a chair holding her dolly in a new mans tent. She sat with the baked potato in front of her. "What's going to happen to Rafe" asked Cara.
"I don't know honey" siad the cook "Can you please just eat?"
Cara looked at the food "I am not hungery" she said. The noise of the camp scared her. People were yelling and shouting outside the tent , Cara couldn't relax in an enviornment like this she had never seen a man with a leg that didn't work very well he frightend her.
Cara and the cook could hear Rafe scream.
"What are they doing to him" asked Cara.
"I don't know honey" said the cook "waite here" he went out side.
Cara sat on the blanket near her food and shut her eyes tight and held onto her doll twice as tight. She didnt' want to be left alone.

Rafe seen the cook and shouted out to him "Don't leave the girl" a whip hit his back "alone!"
"What the- I don't have to take care of the girl for longer then an hour do I?" he asked as Rafe got hit for about his hundred twentieth time by his count.
"NO!" Yelled Rafe "Now go back to the girl"
"If you aren't around to take care of her who will" he asked.
"YOU! if you don't shut up" he yelled. Jeez his fellow warriors hate him.

Keir saw Cara and knew that Rafe was being beaten at the time. He ran over and scooped her up as he went into the tent.
"You were told to stay here weren't you" he asked the little girl as he put her down.

Cara was afraid of the big man now she had done it now she was really in truble "No" she lied as she held onto her doll.

Keir just laughed. "Now little girl I know that you were told to stay here you see I am smart." he smiled "So where did you get that doll from?" he asked as he sat down and started eating her food.

Cara watched him eat. "My mommy made the doll for me." she said "Where is my mommy?" she asked. She sat down a ways away from him.

Keir looked at her and with his mouth full said "She'll be alright with out you" he said "She mostlikely ran away to somewhere and we don't know where" he said.

"Can we go look for her?" asked Cara as she got her hopes up.
The cook walked in and said "OH, your lordship I didn't know you would be gracing my tent tonight."
"Lordship is that your name?" asked Cara.

"No that is not my name it's Keir and cook I didn't plan on coming here it just sort of happened" he said. The baked potato was gone.
"Still your Lordship I am embarrassed by the state of my tent" the cook said.
"Don't be" said Keir "Mine would look the same if I had the same position as you do."

Rafe walked in he had on a very light robe shirt. "You let the girl see" he smacked the cook on the back of the head.
"I am sorry I was concerned about myself" said the cook.
"Yeah your selfish" said Rafe "Next time do what I tell you and be selfish and protect the back of your head." He slapped the back of his head again.
"Ow" said the cook as he rubbed the back of his head "I am sorry!" He tried to get away from Rafe.
Rafe turned to Cara "Are you okay?" he asked.

Rafe knelled down on the blanket and flopped down on his chest and stretched out. "I swear the others hate me just as much as the queen!" shouted Rafe comically.

"I told you they hate you" said Keir smiling. "You know I let them pick when to quit whipping you" He looked at Rafe's back and said "You really shouldn't do that in frount of the child.."

Rafe got up and faced his back to the wall. "Yeah I know you told them that they could quit when they wanted to it was one of the first things they said to me. I am going to go down to the river keep an eye on Cara for me Keir" he left the tent.
